Research:

Research and Inspiration for the Bauhaus Guide Page:

To create a guide page that truly resonates with Bauhaus customers, I conducted thorough research, exploring successful e-commerce websites and platforms like Dribbble for design inspiration. Throughout the process, I consistently asked myself:

  • What do customers want and need?
  • How can we keep them engaged on the page?
  • How can this guide page drive value for Bauhaus?

By analyzing industry leaders and creative design solutions, I identified features that enhance user experience and align with Bauhaus’s business goals. The focus is on creating an intuitive, inspiring, and helpful platform where customers can easily find ideas, learn through guides and articles, and seamlessly discover products that suit their projects.

This approach not only enriches the customer journey but also benefits Bauhaus by increasing dwell time, fostering brand loyalty, and driving product sales through content-driven discovery.

Guide Homepage Structure for Bauhaus

The homepage of the guide serves as the entry point for customers to explore relevant content. The design focuses on easy navigation and personalization to keep users engaged and help them quickly find what they’re looking for.

  • Category-Based Filtering:Customers start by selecting a main category (e.g., Gardening, Interior Design, DIY Projects, Tools & Equipment).

    • Only the categories are visible at first, creating a clean and inviting interface.
  • Dynamic Tag Navbar:

    • Once a category is selected, a secondary navbar appears with relevant tags (e.g., for "Gardening": Plant Care, Outdoor, indoor etc.
    • This two-step filtering makes the experience feel intuitive and prevents information overload.
  • Curated Content Display:

    • After filtering, articles and guides appear, tailored to the customer's selections.
    • Content previews include engaging titles, high-quality images.
