Pawpath app aims to create a community of dog lovers who share the same interest in giving their four-legged friends an active and healthy lifestyle. Whether you're looking for a casual stroll around the neighborhood or a more challenging nature hike, there's something for everyone in this dog walking app
While researching similar apps, the idea of creating an app that offered training classes for dogs began. But after being inspired by Facebook, where users can join different communities, a new idea came up. Realized that there are many dogs owners and dogs who would like company when they are out walking. Therefore, the idea was raised to create a community app where dog owners can share posts and chat with each other, especially in nearby areas. The idea was to create a platform that could unite dog owners and make it easier for them to find company and socialize both for themselves and for their four-legged friends during walks and other activities. Users can filter by area.
After conducting a competitive analysis, users were interviewed to understand what is essential to them in an app designed to meet strangers, as well as identify any shortcomings in existing community platforms. An affinity analysis was carried out after the interviews, where all collected information was presented on a board and ranked according to a hierarchical structure. This method gave an overview of which functions and features the users wanted to include in the app.
Users expressed a clear desire for an app that facilitates meetings with other dog owners, a platform that appears safe and where communication is smooth and accessible. These insights became guiding in defining the app's content and functionality.
