The design process:

Lean UX Canvas:
We started with UX canvas. We made a Lean UX Canvas to identify target groups, problems and solutions. This helped us create a basic understanding and was a good first step in our process. The method was very useful when it came to generating potential solutions.

Storyboard:
We created a storyboard for each user group to differentiate the needs and pain points of the different segments. This was a moment we experienced as challenging and felt that we did not have much benefit from it. It may be because we did not manage to make them clear enough and could not use them in the best way. It may also be because we had so many different needs with associated solutions and it was difficult to select individual needs.

User Story Map:

After the Story Boards, we created a User Story map. Here we divided the target groups according to their specific activities. We also made a section for general activities that applied to all target groups. This step was very helpful as it gave us an overview of all the functions that were needed. It also became very clear how all functions were put together and we could already begin to visualize the order in which pages would be placed.

Workshop:
The workshops were divided into two parts. In the first phase, we directed a workshop to another group and helped them in their work. They needed help with features and content for their front page. The workshop went so that the group had to come up with categories they wanted to include in their app and then categorize these features and content to then design in a Crazy 8 exercise.

In the second part of the Workshop, we received help with a problem formulation we handed over to another group. We wanted help getting started with the design of our app.

It started with us having to brainstorm categories that would be included in the app, we had to decide whether they would be specific or general categories. Then we had to present our categories to each other in the group. We discussed what we liked, which ones we thought were good and saw if there were any duplicates. In the next part, we had to do an Affinity mapping where we wrote everything on a board and ranked them according to a hierarchical structure. This helped us get a good overview of what we wanted our app to contain. Here we also came to the conclusion that we did not see the need for the app to be divided into different categories for different types of "cooks". A general app was preferable.

We then went on with a Crazy 8, where we sketched out ideas of how we wanted it to look in the app. After an iteration round where we presented our sketches and received feedback, we ran another design round. This ended with us voting on the ones we liked the most and wanted to move forward with. The entire exercise had clear time frames for all sub-moments and it all went quite quickly. This was good and we picked up pace which we took into the next stage, Prototyping.

 Prototyping:
After the workshop, we uploaded pictures of our sketches from the workshop and made digital wireframes. Then we moved to mockups with a feedback round and iteration. After the iteration, we started creating prototypes. We distributed the tasks and sat in figma with each part. Then we had a feedback round and iteration. At the end of the process, we went through together to make the app look unified.

My work in the project:

I focused mainly on the first, second and the fifth design. I focused on the colors, design and the flow in the app.
